Meet the Goshawk: A Fierce Forest Hunter with Lightning Speed and Deadly Precision

Our annual goshawk monitoring has begun! Staff in northeastern Minnesota monitor American goshawk territories every year to see which locations have goshawks. Since these raptors can be difficult to spot, staff will look at goshawk nests for signs of activity (e.g. it’s been refurbished with new sticks or has prey remains or droppings on the ground below).
