Freestyle Skiing has been part of the Winter Games’ program since 1988. The sight of athletes soaring through the sky has been exciting for fans. In 2014, in Sochi, Halfpipe was added, with competitors having the chance to show off their skills and finesse while throwing caution to the wind with high-flying action.
Day 14 from Milan Cortina will see six more Winter Olympics gold medals awarded. It starts with freeski women’s ski cross and men’s aerials, before the men’s halfpipe competition concludes later. More medals will be handed out in speedskating too,

It was the second serious incident in two days in freestyle skiing after Cassie Sharpe's fall during the women's halfpipe qualifying on Thursday.

Bend native Hunter Hess was scheduled to compete in the men's freeski halfpipe at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina on Thursday, Feb. 19. The event was postponed due to heavy snow in the Levigno area.
The men's aerials qualifiers and final were rescheduled for Friday starting from 4:30 p.m. ET, while the men's halfpipe qualification runs were moved to an hour after that.
