The Chinese robotics company plans to ramp up its humanoid production fourfold this year, after shipping 5,000 robots in 2025.
Walker S2 is an adult-sized humanoid robot with legs, a torso, and arms. China is sending these robots to patrol their border with Vietnam.
The deal hasn’t closed and a valuation hasn’t been set for the round, the sources said. Humanoid founder Artem Sokolov, is currently the startup’s only shareholder, and has reportedly invested $30 million of his own money into the startup. Humanoid declined to comment on its fund raising.
The robots will be unloading totes full of auto parts from an automated warehouse tugger.
